Lyricism is a constant feature in Sasuns' landscapes. His effective rendition of the simplest landscape motifs result in a noble and subtle reproduction of nature. Edvard favours the Tempe L’áir technique of painting outside, so his landscapes appear to be a moment suspended in time. Whilst never attempting to hide his link with the tradition of the Russian School of Landscape painting, one cannot confuse Sasun’s landscapes with any other artist.
